Mr. Nigel

Mr. Nigel gave his owners more joy than they ever thought they would have when he was purchased in 2006. One of the unluckier greyhounds to race Mr. Nigel never let anyone down with his courageous spirit. A true Golden Paw Hall of Famer. We salute you Mr. Nigel.

Mr. Winston

Mr. Winston is a very exciting prospect as he has been running exceptional trial times. He broke his maiden at The Meadows with a very impressive victory. He has found it hard to string back to back races together due to injury. However he is currently 100% injury free so we hope he can stay on the track and not in the kennels.

Poisa

Owned through The Golden Paw stable by a proud basketball team, this boy is strong and promising. Poisa has shown tremendous ability in his pre-training phase and didn’t let his owners down with a win on debut. Certainly one to watch progress!

Miss Elkin

Miss Elkin was purchased in 2008 and is an extremely well bred pup. Miss Elkin broke through for her maiden win in her fourth start. She has followed that up with her second win at Sale in a slick time. She looks like a greyhound with plenty of ability.

General Maxie

General Maxie is the full brother to Poisa. Maxie has had his fair share of injuries and setbacks but it’s great to see he is now injury free and running well. With great early speed we hope Maxie has his fair share of wins like Poisa.

KEVIN GAVIN ("Billy")

We are very excited by the potential of Billy. He is extremely well bred out of the boom greyhound sire of the moment, Bombastic Shiraz and his dam is Stunning Style a broodmare with every pup to race a winner. Billy has settled in very well to his new home at the rearing farm.

Hot Seat (owned by Eddie McGuire & his production team)

This big, strong and impressive Hade’s Rocket black (and white) pup is a full blood sibling to the freakish Pure Inspiration. He will be hoping to make his owners, Eddie McGuire and the Hot Seat production team very proud. Lock it in!

TEXTA HOTTIE

Texta was a very handy race bitch with excellent box speed, until her racing career was prematurely ended due to injury. She was placed in 4 out of her 13 starts. She will be looking to pass on her early speed to future litters. She has been mated to Dyna Lachlan and we are expecting her first pups for us mid June 2011.

Harry (HADES ROCKET/ELUSIVE ELLE)

Out of Hades Rocket, the superb Brett Lee son, this pup is a full blood sibling to the freakishly fast pair Pure Inspiration and Regal Blaze, trained by multiple group winning trainer, Darren McDonald. He comes from a litter of winners that also include Tocsin, Aston Dream, Aston Octane, Code One, Nitrane and Pure Sound. That litter is by Pure Octane, litter brother to Elusive Elle, and out of Sound Lee, a litter sister to Hades Rocket. There is a lot of excitement about this Golden Paw syndicated greyhound.

Bencorp Boy (DROOPYS MARCO/SHANNAH WIDD)

The only boy amongst a litter of very well bred pups, Bencorp Boy hopes to bring success to the Bencorp OCM team… seeing him in action will be a real team builder!

Pink Whistle

Pink Whistle is part of the litter that includes Golden Paw stars Wonaeamirri, Golden Lemon and the yet to be named Benny. He has shown great form on the trial tracks and needs to now transfer that to the race track.

Benny (BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ/LEMON CRUISER)

Benny is the full little brother to the extremely exciting Intoxicate, Hornblower and National Penny. Benny is owned by a number of people getting into greyhounds for the first time so they are hoping to find initial success through Benny.

Wonaeamirri

Wonaeamirri, owned by Matt Smith and his Territory buddies, is the full little brother to the extremely exciting Intoxicate, Hornblower and National Penny. Out of the fawn dam, Lemon Cruiser, his black colour really shows the stamp of his old man Bombastic Shiraz. He is currently setting the track alight in trials with a number of best of the night times. He is sure to be a dog with some serious ability like his namesake.

Leonie (BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ/LEMON CRUISER)

Leonie is the full little sister to the extremely exciting Intoxicate, Hornblower and National Penny. With such good breeding potential The Golden Paw will be hoping she will begin a long line of champion greyhounds.

Ruwi's Revenge

Ruwi’s Revenge is a brother to another Golden Paw favourite Mr. Pablo. Ruwi’s Revenge has been bought by a consortium from the Middle East who will be hoping to have as much success on Australian greyhound tracks that their Sheik friends have had on Australian race courses.

MR. PABLO

Mr. Pablo is owned by a syndicate of owners The Golden Paw has put together, including Kris Smith and a special international owner from Malta. For most, this will be their first greyhound. He is beatifully bred out of US sire Pacific Mile, and out of the top brood Black Fantasy.

POCKET ROCKET (HADES ROCKET/ELLUSIVE ELLE)

Daughter of brilliant Irish sire Hades Rocket out of the beautifully bred Elusive Elle, this Pocket Rocket has the pedigree to make a top brood one day. But before she does, she’ll me looking to post some strong performances on the track.

Golden Goal

As featured on Channel 9 news with Archie Thompson selecting another pup from the litter, Golden Goal is the beautifully bred pup by Collision out of the dam Okay Supreme, who is litter sister to the brilliant Velocette, who won almost $400k in prize money. The litter has started impressively through Fully Advanced, Just Tripping and Joshua winning well already.

Horatio (Premier Style x Silent Flower)

Owned by a group from Newcastle, NSW, who have recently joined The Golden Paw, Horatio is out of the top brood Silent Flower, who has already produced gryehounds such as Barrique, Stetson Lilly, and Passito. Barrique, in particular, has already proven himself a group level greyhound after running down one of Australia’s exciting talents, the freakish El Grand Senor, in a heat of the Group 1 Maturity Classic at the Meadows.

Golden Patsy

Golden Patsy is a litter brother to Mr. Pablo and Ruwi’s Revenge out of the proven brood Black Fantasy. After forging a successful race track career she will be an excellent addition to the breeding kennels.

Lyla Rose (Shanlyn Prince x Crystal Siyan)

Lyla Rose is the proud addition to a family syndicate consisting of three generations,a non related and very tall vet and an Irish Michael Salmon. Lyla has recently put on some healthy conditioning and her bark is on par with her insatiable bite! Lyla is definitely one to watch!

Winfield's Gold (Shanlyn Prince x Crystal Siyan)

Winfield Gold is the full brother to another GP dog, Lyla Rose. This brindle bullet has been purchased by a client as a surprise Christmas present for their brother, although we think Santa will avoid wrapping it and placing it under the tree. Winfield’s Gold is enjoying the sibling rivalry at the rearing farm, but can’t wait to mix it with the big boys!

Kenny (PURE OCTANE x KELLY LEE)

The cross of Pure Octane with a daughter of Brett Lee has already been proven time and time again. Greyhounds bred on this cross include Octane Show, Silent Guardian, Mid Levels, Pure Inspiration and Regal Blaze to name a few. We are very excited by this syndicated greyhound.

Paddy (PURE OCTANE x KELLY LEE)

Paddy is Kenny’s brother and they are as thick as thieves in their run together. The cross of Pure Octane with a daughter of Brett Lee has already been proven time and time again. Greyhounds bred on this cross include Octane Show, Silent Guardian, Mid Levels, Pure Inspiration and Regal Blaze to name a few. We are very excited by this syndicated greyhound.

Eddie (Head Bound x Elusive Rose)

Out of the superbly bred Elusive Rose, and sired by leading Irish sire Head Bound, Eddie is one impressive looking unit. Owned by a public syndicate of owners put together by The Golden Paw (many of which are new to this exciting sport), we hope Eddie can do them proud.

Black Elton

Black Elton was taken as Kew FC’s number one draft pick in 2010. Whilst this pup has already shown huge potential at numerous club functions he’s looking forward to putting in a scorching pre-season, and getting ready to rumble in 2012! A win on debut and the first draft pick is already living up to the reputation.

Little Schillaci (SLATER x BULLETPROOF GIRL)

Little Schillaci is the newest addition to the Golden Paw kennels and is owned by a great group of lads getting into greyhound racing for the first time. Little Schillaci has winning bloodlines flowing right through his veins being out of a group class brood and sired by super race dog Slater - a track record holder and five time group winner.

Hank (Surf Lorian x Smokey Conquest)

Hank is a feisty Surf Lorian dog out of a city winning dam Smokey Conquest. He has a great attitude and being from such successful parents we think Hank has a lot of ticks against his name. Hank is located in NSW and we intend to race him in NSW.

The Growler (SLATER x BULLETPROOF GIRL)

The Growler along with his brother Schillaci are the newest additions to the Golden Paw kennels. The Growler is owned by a passionate group of guys looking to make a succesful entry into greyhound racing. He has winning bloodlines flowing right through his veins being out of a group class brood and sired by super race dog Slater - a track record holder and five time group winner.

Samiotisa (Pure Octane x Casual Thoughts)

Samiotisa is the exciting acquisition for a proud first time owner to the sport. This sizzling brindle is a breeding cross which is already proven as Pure Octane has been bred to Hermione Granger – a full sister to Casual Thoughts. This litter produced the excellent Darren McDonald race bitch Gaucamole which has so far won $43k from 63 starts. Let’s hope Samiotisa can sing them a merry tune on the track in 2011!

Tiger (Collision x Fancy Lee)

Tiger is a son of Collision and out of a Brett Lee daughter. His dam is actually a full sister to Group 1 winner Smooth Fancy’s dam making him a full blood sibling to the super group performer so this is one very well bred pup.

Coal (Collision x Happy)

Coal is a superbly bred dog from the famous Leprechaun Yap line. His dam is a full blood sibling to exciting stud dog Magic Sprite. Coal is also a three quarter brother to Group 1 National Sprint Champion Smooth Fancy. At this early age he is already showing his eagerness for anything that moves. We are very excited by the potential of Coal.

CRACKER (COLLISION x FANCY LEE)

Cracker is a son of Collision and out of a Brett Lee daughter. His dam is a full sister to Group 1 winner Smooth Fancy’s dam making him a full blood sibling to the super group performer so this is one very well bred pup. He shares a run with his brother Tiger, another addition to the Golden Paw Kennels.

Gus (Collision x Happy)

Gus is a superbly bred dog from the famous Leprechaun Yap line. His dam is a full blood sibling to exciting stud dog Magic Sprite. Gus is also a three quarter brother to Group 1 National Sprint Champion Smooth Fancy. Gus is sharing a run with his brother Coal and his sister and the three are exremely impressive pups that we are very excited by.

Vinnie (El Galo x Ring Tone)

Vinnie is a ball of muscle and a stunning looking greyhound. Vinnie is by a superstar of the track in El Galo and out of a brood from the famous Skullring damline. Both his parents were renowned for their early speed so Vinnie should be no different.

BJ (KIOWA SWEET TREY/RUMBLE SIYAN)

BJ is owned by Mr and Mrs Evans, looking for a bit of fun following a racing greyhound. By the boom US sire Kiowa Sweet Trey, out of the superbly bred Rumble Siyan, we are looking forward to following the development of BJ.

Heater (Kiowa Sweet Trey x Rumble Siyan)

Heater is beautifully bred being by boom US sire Kiowa Sweet Trey and out of regally bred Rumble Siyan. He has a fantastic temperament for a dog of his age so we are very excited by the potential of Heater. Heater will be transported to Western Australia to race once he has been broken in. His half brother just won well on debut so all signs are promising with young Heater.

Phantom (Talk's Cheap/Quee Two)

Phantom is one of the fiestiest dogs we have ever come across. He is sired by the extremely well bred Talk’s Cheap and out of another well bred brood in Quee Two, a descendant of the famous Wee Sal damline.

Gracy (Talk's Cheap x Quee Two)

Gracy is one of the liveliest dogs we have seen. We think the breaker will have no problem educating her through the process. We hope she is an excellent producer once her race track career comes to an end.

Jimmy (WHERE's PEDRO/NIAGARA MIST)

Jimmy is exceptionally bred being by top sire Where’s Pedro and flying machine Niagara Mist. We really like the potential of Jimmy as when Where’s Pedro went to Niagara Mist’s dam (Kilby Supreme) she produced the excellent group winner Don Chendo.

Max (Hallucinate x Pure Conquest)

Max is beautifully bred by top sire Hallucinate and out of proven producer Pure Conquest. He is a very well built dog with lots of strength and attitude. We look forward to seeing how he progresses through the different stages of his career.

Yuppa (COLLISION x HERMOSA GIRL)

By Collision and out of El Galo’s litter sister, Hermosa Girl, this black bitch is bred in the blue. Owned by a group headqaurtered in the Northern Territory, the syndicate have given her the kennel name Yuppa, which means ‘sister’ in the local language. While she is sure to be valuable as a breeding prospect, we hope Yuppa sets the track alight in her racing career.

Harley (Hallucinate x Pure Conquest)

Harley is a superbly bred and impressively built unit by Hallucinate out of proven producer Pure Conquest. That makes Harley a half brother to the very impressive Sam’s Conquest and brother Dan’s Conquest. We look forward to seeing him progress through the different stages of his greyhound racing career.

Frank (Bit Chili x Black Fantasy)

Frank is a half brother to some other Golden Paw dogs like Miss Elkin, Pim and Pablo. Their dam Black Fantasy has always produced speed in her dogs and combining that with the chase of Bit Chili is sure to produce a quality racer.

Super Sal (Bit Chili x Black Fantasy)

Sal is a full sister to another Golden Paw dog Frank. They both have fantastic conformation and terrific personality. Black Fantasy has always produced speed in her dogs and combining that with the chase of Bit Chili is sure to produce a quality racer.

Marty (WHERE'S PEDRO x LEMON CRUISER)

Marty is bred along very similiar lines to group winner Birthday Boy. We have had 4 dogs by his dam Lemon Cruiser and they are magnificent types so we had no hesitation secuing this pup. We think mating Lemon Cruiser to Where’s Pedro could be a better cross than the Bombastic Shiraz litters.

Charlie (BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ x BLUERAY GIRL)

Charlie is regally bred by Australia’s super sire Bombastic Shiraz and out of the stunning city class winning brood, Blueray Girl. Charlie is a true ‘blue blood’ with CHAMPION sires in his pedigree such as Token Prince, Brett Lee, Black Shiraz and Malawi’s Prince along with super broodbitch Elusive Rebel. He should be full of speed and chase.

Smooch (Dyna Lachlan x Texta Hottie)

This mating crosses Texta Hottie’s excellent early speed will complement Dyna Lachlan’s furious speed and chase which are key ingredients to a city class racer. Owned by a very keen syndicate of 9, we look forward to Smooch delivering plenty of celebratory kisses.

Beluga (BOMBASTIC SHIRAZ x BLACK CAVIAR)

Owned by a large and enthusiastic syndicate, this superbly bred bitch is by Bombastic Shiraz out of Black Caviar (Brett Lee x Leprechaun Yap) who is a full sister to super stars of the track Betty’s Angel ($441k), Leprechaun Pace ($199k), Miss Money Mouse ($152k) and stud dog Global Warming. She is sure to be of value in the breeding barn after hopefully putting together a successful racing career.

Boof (MOGAMBO x OUR KEEPER)

The owners of Beluga have added Boof to their portfolio. This mating combines the strongest of Australian, Irish and American lines. This dog is bred to have speed, chase, durability and race smarts. Not only that it combines a sex balanced double of Brett Lee which could produce something special. We are very excited by this dog.

Flying West (Where's Pedro x Miss Tickles)

Owned by a West Australian syndicate, Flying West is exactly what this superbly bred Where’s Pedro son will be doing once he is ready. Miss Tickles’ is from one of Australia’s greatest damlines being a daughter of 2007 Australian Broodbitch of the Year, Miss Angelique.

Hamish (Dyna Lachlan x Texta Hottie)

By up and coming sire Dyna Lachlan, a superstar chaser who amassed a staggering $438,215 in prize money before he even reached 3 years of age, and out of Texta Hottie, this mating was chosen as Texta Hottie’s excellent early speed will complement Dyna Lachlan’s furious speed and chase which are key ingredients to a city class racer. Owned by a public syndicate, many of whom are new to the sport.

Mr. T (Collision x Tocsin)

Mr. T is one of the most exciting greyhounds we have syndicated. He is bred superbly by sire of the moment Collision and is out of the freakishly fast dam Tocsin. Tocsin was part of a litter that had track record breaker Pure Inspiration and super chaser Regal Blaze. Tocsin was a city winner herself with amazing speed. With parents like Mr. T has we pity the fools that have to run against him.

Wiz (Dyna Lachlan x Texta Hottie)

Wiz was auctioned at the Robert Allenby Charity Gala Dinner and after some heated bidding was eventually won by a group of owners led by Kent Waring. Wiz has a lovely conformation and is extremely competitive amongst her brothers and sisters. Early reports from Dyna Lachlan progeny have been very promising so we look foward to watching Wiz go through the stages.

Don the Falcon (Dyna Lachlan x Texta Hottie)

This greyhound is owned by a large group of school friends purchased as a tribute to their school reunion. A strong customer with a white chest, he looks a very likely type.
